Well....working in the game development industry now for 28 years....has led me to write this overly long post out of sheer awe so hang in there with me please Mr./Mrs. Developer.
Game is hard to play at the moment due to major screen issues being all over the place. The text/characters/icons are so small you can barely see them, and it makes every run a loss pretty fast. Some bugs are present like cant use the mouse or scroll wheel on the tools on the bar which is strange. Using number keys for them feels slowish since you have to run around alot. The tools dont upgrade properly, I was doing same damage to the enemies after upgrading the bow and sword every time. 20 damage for everything always it is. BUT...with all that said...I enjoyed the heck out of the game. I almost felt like a kid again and was hoping (I was the happiest girl in the world, back in the days when I'd get a game in this genre) you would continue developing this gem. It is pure genius, you need to know really. I showed my colleagues at work and everyone started to play it till our boss came out of his office. Yes...it gets better just wait. He looks at us like we have just lost our minds and sits at my desk, grabs the mouse and keyboard from me and starts to play. First time we have seen him do this after catching us with a browser game mind you. After a few minutes we hear "God this is so awful....but wow i love this game. Do you lazy employees know if the developer is continuing with the project for Windows download or thought about putting it up for sale later?" Haha I almost died but yes...he meant a clean up of sorts to be download ready. I don't know, I dont want to pressure you! But what I do know is that this game has all the makings already of something spectacular. I think you could put it on Steam and other places for sale at some point and make a killing. Its so simple yet so unique and the pace of it is spot on for people who want these types of games, but have little time. A save feature later maybe....would be cool because people could just exit and come back later to their session. The harsh beginning to my post was to show you the stark comparison between the issues that are many YET small. But also to show you that you have made things like the piers etc...something HUGE to build on to later. You could expand on this game so much its just insane. Endless possibilities that could be added little by little over time via polishing and clean up. I think of games like Terraria that are in constant polish/development mode for years that little by little change you know? So from my experience...I think you wouldnt even need to rush anything or overhaul stuff in a grand manner. Just do it little by little, day by day. Ok well thanks for reading all this..I know it was long. Let me know what you think so I am not in suspense too long.
