v. 0.2.1: Biggest Update Yet!


So far this is the largest update I've added to the game, making large changes in many areas.

In this update I:

  • (sorta) fixed enemy AI so they A: path find better in tight areas, B: automatically target the player when attacked, and C: don't attack without playing an attack animation
  • In addition I've added two new enemies although some sprites remain unfinished
    • a goblin enemy which is very fast and small but has low damage and health
    • and a skeleton wizard which is a ranged enemy
  • Second level has been added
    • It includes both new enemies as well as a new boss and trap
  • You now can unlock spells through a leveling system
    • gain xp when defeating level
    • screen displays level stats after you beat a level
    • added a settings menu where a level tree is displayed
  • New SFX (a couple new for spells and many new for UIs)
  • enemies can drop health potions so you dont need healing spell to gain health back
  • new door sprites and some new tiles to make things look a bit cleaner
  • you now have multiple lives
  • A secret counter is displayed in levels
  • UI features are shown more dynamically

Next update should hopefully be a large update to spell customizability!
